Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. Prior to learning how to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own songs. The guitar that she first received was presented to her at the age of eighteen. She started singing at a Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. The same year she released her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Although she became popular in the local scene while she was at the high school years, her goals were greater. On the 14th of March, 1964, following her graduation from high-school, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to perform on his show syndicated by him at this point. Parton was signed to RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She took on the role in 1967. However, it wasn't until 1974 that she decided to leave Wagoner's program as the popularity of her own solo records including Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. Parton, after the split of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and saw it climb to No. It was the first time a single hit the top spot.
