Taylor

Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena: a superstar who managed to fully transition from country to the mainstream becoming an enduring popular icon, and sweeping all over the world at the same time. Swift has thrown off her roots in the country as if they were second skins showing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter of her time. Swift is able to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her unique. Swift's talents were apparent in some of her earliest tracks, notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless released in 2008 Swift could identify who she is and find audiences across the globe. Fearless went on to become a global hit, not only in the United States (where it received as platinum six times for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") but in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. as well as other nations. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this achievement and propelled Swift into the stratosphere of superstardom. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she became part of a music scene in which it became clear she was a part of. She was on top of the charts until she reverted to her style with her sibling albums Folklore and Evermore in the year 2020.
